Runs two shifts on one charge
with Jungheinrich® lift trucks

The Jungheinrich lift trucks are very well built . . . especially in comparison to other lift trucks we considered. You can see many years of engineering have gone into the Jungheinrich product.

UNWAVERING COMMITMENT
For more than 40 years, Regal Logistics® (Regal) has served as a leading third-party logistics provider (3PL) delivering innovative shipping solutions. Supported by 1.3 million square feet of high velocity distribution centers in the Pacific Northwest and the U.S. Southeast, Regal offers a comprehensive program of distribution and transportation services from port to end consumption point.

As a company focused on providing superior customer service, Regal uses advanced technology including a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) to streamline the supply chain and satisfy retailers’ standards for packaging, labeling and on-time performance.

When the time came for the company to upgrade its existing fleet of narrow aisle warehouse products, they consulted with their local forklift dealer who recommended the Jungheinrich® EKS 308 48-volt order picker and the EKX 515k 80-volt turret truck, which would be used to retrieve and put away pallets in high racks.

“The Jungheinrich lift trucks are very well built,” says Randy Neeves, vice president of Operations and Technology at Regal Logistics. “We were surprised when they came in. Especially in comparison to other lift trucks we considered. You can see many years of engineering have gone into the Jungheinrich product.”

SOLID PERFORMANCE

Sold on quality, Regal added three EKX 515k turret trucks and four EKS 308 48-volt order pickers to replace their existing fleet. The new lift trucks use advanced AC technology and energy reclamation – through regenerative braking and lowering – allowing for longer run times on one battery charge.

“The Jungheinrich products are faster, smoother, quieter, more comfortable, and with less downtime,” Neeves says. “They also run for two shifts without a battery charge.”

Regal’s operators have also commented on the design and ergonomics of the Jungheinrich turret trucks and order pickers.

“The operators appreciate the machines and stability going up to the highest level,” says Neeves. “The machine doesn’t tilt or wobble, and it’s very stable, even with a large, heavy load. They’re very quiet and fast, making it enjoyable for the operator to run the machine.”

CONTINUING PARTNERSHIP
Having proven its quality in runtime and service, Regal has since purchased additional Jungheinrich turret trucks and order pickers, leading to an even greater increase in efficiency and cost savings.

“After using Jungheinrich, we’re favorably impressed. It’s a great product,” said Neeves.
